Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. In January 2008 Today’s Community Church donated money to support a Child Survival Project in Ethiopia for an entire year. In October, Dave and Helen Belfield travelled to see Ethiopia to see the effects of that generosity, and, to launch the next stage of the partnership: Child Sponsorship.
